Stop by the Covina Metrolink Station for free refreshments and bike accessories on May 17th!

In partnership with the City of Long Beach, Tony Cruz & Associates and Miller Children's Hospital, the Downtown Long Beach Associates will produce the 4th Annual Long Beach Bicycle Festival, presented by Wells Fargo. The event will include live music, Beachwood & Friends Craft Beer Garden, vendor festival, family-friendly activities, and the Tour of Long Beach charity ride for Miler Children's Hospital.

Women On Bikes SoCal is very pleased to announce the local authors of "Long Beach: The Unexpected Metropolis" and mid century modern design specialists Cara Mullio and Jennifer M. Volland will take us on an expert sight seeing tour by some of Long Beach's mid century modern architectural treasures all by bike!

On Sunday, June 7, Long Beach Heritage celebrates “A Century of Style” with its annual Great Homes of Long Beach tour. From noon to 5 p.m., ticket holders will be welcomed inside six architecturally distinguished homes in the Belmont Heights, Bixby Knolls, Los Cerritos and Willmore City neighborhoods of the city.

Find bicycle paradise at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival! Get free bike check-ups or free bike valet parking. Last year, we valet parked over 1,000 bikes, and we estimate over 2,000 people biked to the festival!

When a city aspires to be “the most bicycle friendly city in America” and it’s not Portland, Minneapolis or San Francisco, you have to check it out. Since I was down in Southern California for a professional conference, Dick and I stayed over for the weekend in Long Beach to see if there was a glimmer of reality behind this lofty goal. And the beach is always fun in the off-season...

Throughout the months of April, May and June, the City of covina will be hosting a number of events to promote environmental sustainability and awareness. Help celebrate the earth and welcome spring with free family events!

On February 8, 2012 at 9:00 am at the state-of-the art Bikestation at 223 E. 1st Street in downtown Long Beach CA 90802 (1st Street Transit Mall at Promenade Park) the Women On Bikes SoCal (WoBSoCal) initiative “celebrating the joy, benefits and beauty of bicycling for women” will be joined by the California Bicycle Coalition, Bikeable Communities, Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal, Andréa White-Kjoss of Bikestation, Bike Long Beach, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition for the launch of the “Let’s Double the Number of Women & Girls Riding Bikes” campaign.
